Christine “Her unending perseverance, her indomitable fury.”

Christine "La sua infinita tenacia, la sua furia indomabile."

In 1954, Plymouth’s sales volumes declined considerably, and the company’s board of directors consequently decided to take immediate measures to relaunch the famous American brand

The chief executive officer of the Chrysler Corporation, Kaufman Thuma Keller, admitted that this was due the Chrysler group’s failure to make stylistic changes during the postwar period.
The boom of the simple family car was coming to an end, and car buyers were shifting their focus to sports cars.

This led to the development of the Plymouth Fury, a stylistic reinterpretation the two-door hard top Savoy and Belvedere models, built using the same chassis, which was introduced at the Chicago motor show in 1956.

The Fury was equipped with the 303 cubic inch V8 Polyhead engine with high-lift cams, high-compression convex pistons generating 240 horsepower, and a standard three-speed manual transmission, with optional two-speed semi-automatic Powerflite transmission.

In 1957, the range was redesigned by designer Virgil Exner, who made considerable changes to the design of the previous model.
The size of the big eight-cylinder engine was increased to 318 cubic inches, with two four-body carburettors and new heads, delivering 290 horsepower.

The new V8 engine called “The Golden Commando” for its gold trim, became available in 1958.
The engine volume had been increased to 350 cubic inches, with a power output of 305 or 315 horsepower.

The film “Christine”, in which this beautiful car was portrayed as possessed, was based on the novel of the same name written by Stephen King, who has always had a passion for this model, to the point that it has even been included in other films based on his bestsellers.

In “Christine”, the Fury is found by a young man named Arnie Cunnigham, who restores it and becomes increasingly possessed by it over time, changing his behaviour to the point that he loses all his friends, while those are unkind to him meet with a series of mysterious deaths.

It soon becomes clear that Christine loves him and would do anything for him, but demands all of his love in return, to the point that she even pits him against his best friend, Dennis, and his girlfriend, Leigh, with whom he contends in the exciting finale.

This month, Christine will be restored to her former splendour by our new DEA TOOL CENTER product, an extremely practical and compact mobile work station that features all the tools necessary for use in various sectors, from mechanical engineering to diagnostics, and even bodywork.

In addition to its fully welded structure and state-of-the-art made in Italy design, some of the other features that render it unique include 8 drawers with a capacity of 45 kg each, a three-storey storage compartment, swivel wheels, and a reinforced worktop with DCT cover.
